This engine was built by a model engineer in the mid-2010s. It is 4” scale and weighs about 300kg. It has a boiler made by Bell boilers in 2012, with a maximum running pressure of 120 psi. It seems that it was steamed and run only a few times by its builder, but it came for sale in 2024. I loved its build quality and colour, and bought it. Since then it has been run about 30 times, mainly at home but also in Slaidburn and Hampton. I hope to get it to a few shows in 2025.

I was warned when I bought it that it had been used so little that there might be some commissioning issues, and indeed I had minor problems with the relief valves and water feed pump. But overall it has run very sweetly, and is good fun to operate.
